How does it work?

Before getting started with SimThunder, it’s important to know that it’s an Ethereum-based decentralized application (DApp) that requires an Ethereum compatible wallet for usage. We recommend using the Metamask wallet as a browser extension. If you need help, click here.

First step: you have to go to the website simthunder.com and login from there.

If you have the Metamask installed, it should open its window; if not, it should ask you for other wallet options:

Note: Simthunder exists in the Polygon network, if that is not the network selected in your wallet, you’ll be asked to change to this one.

Once logged in, you should see your wallet address on the top right, just like this:

And here you have two options: either you buy or you sell. If you are a painter, we invite you to put your art for sale and earn with it. For that, we have created a Roadbook especially dedicated to you with all the steps to make your experience easy and fluid.

Simthunder is now an option for those who want to buy the best car skins and join private virtual racing leagues/events.

For example: Now you can buy the entries (represented by the number of each car) for our 2023 SimThunder Trophy, a competition that will take place in the iRacing simulator with a prize pool that will include 80% of all the SimThunder Trophy NFT entries sold.

Attention! If you want to buy a sim racing asset available on Simthunder Open Beta marketplace, you’ll first need to have SimracerCoin (SRC) and add it as a custom token to your wallet with this address (in the Polygon network): 0xf0c3C4AC63Be272a94712bCcc39490A159Cd0D7C.

Simracer Coin is a cryptocurrency designed exclusively for sim racing enthusiasts. By using this digital currency, you can purchase and sell sim racing-related items, as well as exchange it for other cryptocurrencies.

So let’s go back to the explanation and start to buy a car skin. You choose your favorite car skin and decide to buy it. It’s very easy; all you need to do is click on the “buy” button:

And you will automatically be redirected to confirm your request:

You will also need to have $MATIC available (the crypto currency of the Polygon blockchain where Simthunder is deployed) to pay the transaction fee. If you’re using Metamask you can buy Matic directly there.

Then, you will be redirected to this page, and all you need to do is… wait!

Once the transaction has been successfully processed, you will receive a folder with your new amazing car skin!

If you are a painter and someone purchases one of your paints, you will receive the corresponding amount of Simracer Coin ($SRC) which will be deposited into your crypto wallet. See how here.

All in all, when the purchase is confirmed, the NFT or the sim racing asset in question will be transferred to your personal wallet.
